The film was reported on 24 December 2018 by Padukone on her Twitter account; it denotes her first creation adventure. Taping occurred from March to June 2019 in New Delhi and Mumbai.[3] Days before the film’s discharge, Padukone visited understudies who were brutalized during the 2020 JNU Attack, a political demonstration, which prompted a separated reaction on Twitter. A couple of conservative magazines later wrongly revealed that the religion of the corrosive hurler in the film was transformed from a Muslim into a Hindu character. The film was dramatically discharged on 10 January 2020.[4] It got positive audits from pundits.
